The Frontier Titer Project

We've been doing this "project" awhile, makes me a believer in Intervet's Progard vaccines for sure! (In case you had an interest, Progard and Continuum is the same vaccine except Continuum is licensed as a 3 year vaccine NOTE the vaccine has changed names due to a company sale.
Click here for info: Progard/Contiuum new product names and descriptions)

The Cornell lab consider anything 1:32 and up is good for Distemper and 1:80 and up for parvo.
Although Dr Schultz and Dr Dodds research indicates ANY level of titer is protective see this article and this one
Tests were all done at Cornell unless otherwise noted
Dogs with a * next to their name do not live with us

note from 2011: I have never done titers this early in the year before (March) and wondered if doing them this early would result in a lower distemper titer for Annie and Itsy because we have not yet been out antler hunting in the forest and getting exposed to fox/coyote/raccoon/skunk "germs" and they are lower so next time we will do them later and see if there is a difference

Progard/Contiuum Vaccine new names and descriptions
Below is the chart telling you which vaccines will be what. NOTE not all vaccines with the same names are former Progard products! (Remember all Progard and Contiuum products are the same just different label for 1 yr and 3 yr licensing)

Notice that the Progard 5 is going away. The closest thing to it will be the Nobivac® Canine 3-DAPv.

Also "going away" is the Progard CPv and the closest thing to that will be Nobivac® Canine 3-Pv (which is actually Progard CPV in it's 3 year Continuum label)
